4 Fuse the bumpy side of the fusible interfacing to the wrong sides of the head and pajama pieces. Do not place the iron directly on the interfacing or the front of the corduroy.

5 Edge stitch the felt facial features onto the bear’s face. Sew the muzzle, eye whites, and cheeks first, then the nose and pupils on top, all with matching thread.

6 Center and edge stitch the collar piece(s) on the top of one of the pajama pieces – this is the pajama front. The top of the triangle collar pieces (for the boy bear) should overlap 1⁄4in (5mm) in the center. On the right side of the other pajama piece, place the flap according to the pattern markings and topstitch in place – this is the pajama back.
